We Need Your Help!

At Faith in Action our mission is to eliminate hunger and offer socially enriching programs to the communities of the Northeast Kingdom and Washington County. Through donations, partnerships, and volunteers we are able to provide residents in need with programs that deliver food, promote social connections, increase self-sufficiency, and instill hope.

We Need Your Help!

The Growing Need

OCTOBER, 2024:

We are now providing over 1,000 boxes of food a month to families in need through our locations in Cabot and Lyndonville.  This is a 25% increase in one year.

Rising food prices has led to an unprecedented increase in demand for our services.  We’ve had over 80 new families sign up for our Food Share programs in just the past two months.  Many of them are large families who have never needed our help before now.

DONATE

Please consider donating to Neighbors in Action. Your charitable contributions will help us serve our mission to eliminate hunger through our Food Share program. These contributions also help us continue to offer socially enriching programs to the communities of the Northeast Kingdom and Washington County.

PARTNER

Financial support of Neighbors in Action is critically important for the organization to continue providing the needed services in Northern Vermont. Through the generosity of our partners,  we are able to provide food, outreach, programming and most importantly hope for those in needs. Consider being a partner with us today!

VOLUNTEER

Would you like to give back to your community in a more meaningful way? Neighbors in Action is looking for volunteers to drive people to doctor’s appointments and run errands in both the Lyndonville and Cabot area.

Rising to the Challenge

"I have loved working with Neighbors in Action!  They have amazing volunteers and staff who really care about their community and providing fresh, quality food for those who are struggling to meet needs.”

- Jess Simpson of Wilder Farm, Lyndonville

This increased demand means more volunteer resources are needed to procure and process food, with larger deliveries and more to unload, and re-package for distribution.

Fortunately, our food share coordinators are skilled at diversifying our sources relying upon a network of partnerships with local businesses and farms and working together for our mutual benefit and sustainability.

Thanks to your previous support, we are prepared today to meet the new challenges because you’ve enabled us to cultivate strong community networks, develop a crew of experienced volunteers and acquire a permanent home in Cabot from which to deliver our services.

PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TO US TODAY TO SUPPORT OUR ONGOING WORK.

THANK YOU!
